Why are storm drains a plus in parking lot labyrinths?

It's easy to wash your labyrinth away and do another one quickly (you just can't have too many labyrinths in your parking lot you know!)

But there is another reason...

My favorite labyrinth designs are ones where the exit path is different from the entrance path.  If you're laying out a labyrinth for a large number of people that's useful, as there will be a continuous flow of people in and out of the labyrinth.  You never get a collision between someone leaving and someone entering.

But there is another slick feature if your parking lot has a storm drain in it...you can make the storm drain a part of the labyrinth!  If you have a labyrinth design with a fast exit then you can make a "liberation" labyrinth.  At each bend of the path you leave one concern/worry/trouble then walk to the next bend.  Leave another one there and so on until you reach the center.  Anything left you just drop down the storm drain and run for the exit!

Don't give the divine all your troubles, the divine has enough already...flush em down the drain! :)

This design is particularly good because it is so easy to line up with the drain.  One of the seed lines points straight to it.

For a printable version of  this labyrinth put your mouse cursor over the picture then click the right mouse button.  Pick the option that says "open link in new window".  You can print the image from there.
